Artist Statement
My photography explores the themes of humanity, specifically feeling empowered, creative, and exploring oneself. People share an extensive range of emotions and expressions. We see it amongst ourselves every day among family and friends, but it’s difficult to find one’s true self in a photograph. I wish to help people find that vulnerability in front of a camera, to be able to show themselves without judgement. To express what they see inside themselves. The self-consciousness that people feel about their bodies, their features, and their expressions limit their confidence. Through my photos, I attempt to share the smiles and struggles of everyday life of this temporary human experience,
